Brad Rodu

Professor of Medicine at the University of Louisville (Kentucky). Chair of the Department of Tobacco Harm Reduction Research at Brown Cancer Center. For twenty-five years, Dr. Rodu has published research on reducing the harms caused by tobacco, which involves the adoption of tobacco products safer by smokers who cannot or do not want to quit with conventional methods. He has collaborated with other researchers to publish studies of component levels in smokeless tobacco products, the first smoking cessation trial using a smokeless tobacco product, descriptive and analytical epidemiological studies of the prevalence and mortality attributable to smoking, smokeless tobacco use and vaping and their impact in current smoking in the USA and Europe, the perception of risk and secondhand smoke.
